MAKASSAR,PO – South Sulawesi Governor Andi Sudirman Sulaiman received a visit from the Coordinating Minister for Law, Human Rights, Immigration, and Corrections, Yusril Ihza Mahendra, at the Governor’s Official Residence on Wednesday 10 September 2025.
During the visit, the Governor was accompanied by the Chairperson of the South Sulawesi Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) Andi Rachmatika Dewi, Makassar Mayor Munafri Arifuddin, South Sulawesi Police Chief Inspector General Rusdi Hartono, Pangdam XIV Hasanuddin Major General Windiyatno, South Sulawesi Attorney General Agus Salim, Dankodaeral VI Makassar Rear Admiral Andi Abdul Azis, Pangdiv 3 Kostrad Major General Bangun Nawoko, Pangkodau 2 Air Vice Marshal Arifaini Nur Dwiyanto, South Sulawesi Kabinda Brigadier General Andi Anshar, and several heads of regional government offices within the South Sulawesi Provincial Government.
Upon arrival at the official residence, Yusril was warmly welcomed by the Governor along with the South Sulawesi Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda). The meeting continued with a closed-door discussion, followed by a luncheon.
“We welcomed the Coordinating Minister for Law, Human Rights, Immigration, and Corrections, Prof. Yusril Ihza Mahendra, along with his team at the Governor’s Official Residence in South Sulawesi,” said the Governor.
As part of his agenda in South Sulawesi, Minister Yusril Ihza Mahendra is scheduled to inspect suspects involved in the vandalism and arson of the Makassar City DPRD building and the South Sulawesi DPRD building at the South Sulawesi Police detention center.
It was reported that the vandalism and destruction at the DPRD Makassar resulted in the death of three individuals.
